2001 Proton Waja Owners Manual
Hello, Most of the european cars will have a service manual with an exploded view of all the engine parts when you buy a new vehicle. 2015 Volkswagen Eurovan Repair Manual. Proton probably do not want budding mechanics to repair the car by themselves.they are very worried that the authorised and monopolised car repair workshops will lose out to DIY people. Some of us DIY mechanics are far more superior in skills than the so called trained mechanics employed by proton. I wonder if anyone has some friends inside proton who can help us to obtain a service manual. 2008 Road Star Warrior Manual there. Any help from proton is welcome. Best regards, Guna.

The Proton Waja is a saloon car designed in-house by Malaysian automotive company, Proton, first released in August 2000. The Waja is the first Malaysian-designed car, based on the Mitsubishi Carisma and Volvo S40. Initially, the Waja was powered by a Mitsubishi 4G18 1.6 L engine; beginning 2006, Proton's own 1.6 L Campro engine served as a replacement. In the end of 2005, another variant of the exclusive Waja with a longer wheelbase and powered by a Mitsubishi 6A12 2.0 L V6 engine known as Proton Waja Chancellor was launched. The name Waja, which means 'tough (as steel)', reflects the strength of the steel used for the Waja compared with the previous models.
The name was chosen partly to counter the perception in the domestic market that Proton cars were less strong. In the United Kingdom, the Waja is sold as Proton Impian. The Campro engine is the first automotive engine ever developed together with Lotus by the Malaysian carmaker, Proton. The name Campro is short for Cam Profile. This engine powers the Proton Gen-2, the Proton Satria Neo, the Proton Waja Campro, the Proton Persona as well as Proton's future models. The Campro engine is aimed to show Proton's ability to make their own engines that produces good power output and meets newer emission standards. All Campro engines incorporate with drive-by-wire technology (specifically electronic throttle control) for better response, eliminating the need for friction-generating mechanical linkages and cables. There have been some issues with cracking oil sumps but apparently Proton have introduced a new part recently to solve this problem.
